Carol Head is a marketing veteran with experience in the traditional media, Internet and technology fields. She has held a number of executive positions where she was responsible for designing and implementing marketing and advertising programs to generate increased revenue and brand awareness. In addition, she has extensive background with strategy development and business planning.

Most recently, Ms. Head has performed a number of consulting engagements for early stage Internet companies in the entertainment, education, healthcare, and travel industries. These assignments included strategic and business planning, marketing program development and implementation, primary research and analysis, and interim Vice President of Marketing positions.

Previously, Ms. Head was Vice President of Marketing for Bizrate.com, where she built and managed a marketing group of ten professionals and managed a $14 million marketing and advertising budget. She developed brand strategy, tagline, and logo, hired and managed an advertising agency and public relations firm, and represented the company with the media. She was responsible for all marketing communications activities, developed programs to acquire and retain customers, and participated in company strategy activities.

Prior to Bizrate.com, as Senior VP, Sales and Marketing for Times Mirror Co.'s Hollywood Online, Ms. Head developed and implemented advertising sales strategy. This required the evaluation of Internet and traditional media competition, developing advertising positioning, pricing and sales materials, and hiring and managing a staff to execute the plan. Additionally, she helped develop the company's strategy, including new business development, e-commerce, technology and broadband migration planning.

In her position as Director of Marketing Services for the LA Times, Ms. Head managed a 40-person department with a $6 million budget to grow advertising revenue through innovative marketing programs.

Ms. Head has an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BA from Wellesley College, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
