Marty Franz has 15 years of experience as a software engineer and executive manager of development teams, all in the realm of delivering quality audio/video experiences to consumers. His experience includes network architecture design, Internet delivery, SQL database engineering, game and demo development, and developer tool creation and program management. His responsibilities include selecting appropriate technologies and architectures and leading application development.

Previously, Mr. Franz was VP of Network Engineering at VocaLoca, Inc., where he developed and deployed an Internet broadcasting website. He created and implemented a network architecture which was fully redundant and consisted of over 70 machines in two data centers. He programmed custom monitoring and automation software which monitored multicast packets, verified the SQL database integrity, and automatically took corrective action when necessary.

Mr. Franz was Director of the Tools and Technology Group at 3DFX, Inc. managing a ten person team of engineers and an artist supporting game developers. He developed processes to ensure a quality developer support program, and developed tools and demos for a number of hardware platforms. He also crafted a Linux open source strategy and coordinated external Linux developers.

At Segasoft, Inc., Mr. Franz was Vice President of Technology and Manager of Internal Development. He managed all internal development of a thirty person organization of software engineers, artists, designers, and associate producers. He researched and developed the key design concepts and pioneered the Internet sale and distribution of Segasoft's first foray into online only entertainment. He established a game and tools development methodology and the actual development of numerous games and tools.

Mr. Franz has ten years experience developing and managing PC and console game engineering at Sega, Sierra/Dynamix, Taito, and his own game development company, Alien Technology Group. This included software engineering, establishing development groups, managing projects, and managing relationships with all third party tool vendors.
