MANISH GUPTA  Director of Business Development

Manish Gupta is Co-Founder and Director of Business Development of Vidomi, Inc. (formerly SloMedia), a start-up focused on downloadable video. Gupta manages the Vidomi sales force and is responsible for developing new client relationships, as well as working closely with existing ones.

Prior to SloMedia, Gupta was Director of Business Development at Rapstation.com, where he was responsible for developing strategic relationships with highly trafficked websites and offline entities. The more than 30 partnerships Gupta has built with leading music sites such as RealNetworks, Launch, MyPlay & Listen.com have resulted in the acquisition of 500,000 regular monthly visits, thereby propelling Rapstation.com into the dominant site in its space.

Previously, Gupta worked in the Investment management industry, first with Salomon Smith Barney and then later with Morgan Stanley where he managed high net individual and institutional client portfolios. Gupta specialized in asset allocation alternatives within client portfolios. His main concentration was in the technology sector, where he helped the start-up community advising companies in the area of cash management and the development of 401(K) plans. He was responsible for managing long term client equity portfolios and evaluating diversification alternatives for low cost basis shareholders.

He has a B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara with an specialization in Accounting. Born in London, England, Gupta is a passionate Liverpool supporter and now lives in San Luis Obispo.
